Students enjoy Seberson Method, while Parents LOVE the RESULTS!

Here's what our parents have to say...

Vocabulary alone can comprise UP TO 30% of the test score.

This can make or break your child's test results on:

  • SSAT, ISEE, TACHS, HSPT, COOP, ELA's
  • Nelson Denny, PSAT, SAT, ACT, AP English
  • TOEFL, IELTS, ESL exams
  • GMAT, MCAT, LSAT

Here are some questions an 8th grader can expect on the ISEE:

Answers: Revere - Exalt ; Limber - Agile.

It is obvious that unless your son or your daughter is a voracious reader and has an extensive vocabulary of a Wall Street executive, they will need some extra help. The Seberson Method is proven to boost vocabulary fast. Our students see an improvement in grades and higher test scores.

Hi, I'm Katya Seberson.

the inventor of the Seberson Method.

As a private Manhattan tutor, I know that my clients expect results. The challenge is that in today's environment, kids are busier than ever. School, homework, extracurricular, and family obligations make finding the time, focus, and energy for learning vocabulary overwhelming and seemingly impossible. Yet, vocabulary is the core to reading comprehension, achievement tests, placement exams, and getting the grades you need for the best chance at the college of your dreams.

My students were getting frustrated with traditional methods of teaching and learning. I realized early on that the kids with the best memory were using techniques that were unconventional, but fun and easy to learn.

This led me to develop the Seberson Method. This scientifically proven approach uses a combination of techniques including memory palace, sequencing, and word families to supercharge your child's ability to learn and retain vocabulary quickly.

These videos are the result of nearly half a decade of figuring out what works. Students of the Seberson Method see results immediately, and this jumpstarts a lifetime of learning and reading.

Find out for yourself why my students and parents are so excited.

I am not a natural wordsmith and had a hard time remembering new vocabulary words. To make it easy, I came up with a memory method. The method was very effective, so I started teaching to my tutoring clients. Now, I am sharing it with the world.

English is not my native language and as a non-native English speaker, who wanted to study in the US, I had to take a language proficiency exam - TOEFL. My success on the exam determined my future - whether I would stay in the States and go to college here, or go back home. I wasn't scoring well on TOEFL, mainly because I didn't understand a lot of the words. My vocabulary knowledge was dictating my future. I was very determined to score well. I had about 6 weeks to study and at least 150 long, multisyllabic words to memorize. I got it done! I still remember those words 10 years later!

In order to achieve my goal, I had to get very creative. I developed a method, without knowing it myself. Later, when I was in college, I kept applying this method on my school work and it worked without fail. I felt like I was cheating, but I wasn't.

After graduating, I became a private tutor in Manhattan, New York and began to introduce my strategies to my students. They loved it! It worked. It helped them get higher scores on standardized tests, like SAT, ACT, ISEE, SSAT, PSAT, TACHS, HSPT, GMAT, MCAT, LSAT and TOEFL, of course.

I live on the UWS in New York and have an office in Midtown. I am bringing my passion and method to you! Hope you find it helpful.
